I know that I haven't put anything on our blog in years. We had the amazing opportunity to visit Italy and Switzerland on a "History of Physics" tour with Kevin's department. Since we took over 1000 photos between the two of us the blog seemed the logical place to share these. The day started with our two older children going off to school while we brought the younger two to my parent's house. (A huge thank you to Mom and Dad for babysitting for a week!!) A flight from the Idaho Falls Airport began our 20+ hours of plane rides and lay overs. Neither of us have ever traveled this far so it was quite an experience for us. Thankfully we made the trip without lost luggage or passports. Our final destination was Florence,Italy, where we met our tour guide for the week and boarded a coach to our hotel.

Basilica of Santa Croce
This is the largest Franciscan church in the world with sixteen chapels inside.  It is situated on the Piazza di Santa Croce. The exterior is made up of very ornate carvings and beautiful stain glass windows.  It is the burial place of Michelangelo and Galileo (their tombs are pictured below).
